Trails Wairarapa Trust

Trails Wairarapa Trust was set up in 2009 to facilitate the development of new trails with the aims of promoting fitness, health and tourism. The Trust have been successful in the development of the Waipoua River Trail in Masterton and have sponsored the NZ Cycle Trail link routes, The Tararua Traverse, Route 52 and the Wairarapa Valley Cycle Trail. The Trust are currently planning a trail along the Ruamahanga river.

Greytown Trails Trust

The Greytown Trails Trust was first mooted in 2009 and the Trust was formed in 2010. 

The purposes of the Trust are: to develop and maintain trails for cycling, walking and general recreation in and around Greytown and South Wairarapa for the benefit of the public; to make the trails and associated rest areas accessible to the public; to promote education about the history of the areas involved; and to encourage the planting and preservation of trees in the areas.

The Trust have recently completed the Greytown to Woodside Trail and are currently planning a new trail.
